Common questions from hospitality buyers
Do reed straws go soggy like paper straws?
No. Reed straws are made from natural common reed — a sturdy wetland grass — so they keep their shape in drinks, unlike paper straws that soften and collapse.
What are they made of?
100% natural common reed (Phragmites australis) with no chemicals or additives. They are fully biodegradable and decompose in under a year.
Are they tested for food contact?
Yes. Our reed straws are independently tested and certified for food-contact safety — you can download the test reports and declaration of conformity below.
What sizes are available?
Our straws come in 15cm and 20cm lengths. Each product page lets you choose the size before adding to your cart.
Can we try them before ordering in bulk?
Yes — order the £4.99 Reedest Sample Pack above to test them in service, then come back for wholesale quantities.
How do wholesale and branded orders work?
For large wholesale pricing, laser engraving, paper wrapping or custom packaging, send us a quote enquiry and we'll come back with pricing for your volumes.
